Max is pretty much an inside dog. On Bonaire though he seems to really enjoy the great outdoors. He's never been much on walks, but our apartment is situated in what we'd call a subdivision---paved cul-de-sacs off the main road--and taking Max for daily walks seemed like a good idea. Until we tried it.
Virtually every house has a fence or wall around the lot. They also have at least one dog--usually two. Most of them don't seem too friendly. I guess that's the point. We've seen people on walks, but you won't find people walking dogs much. It got kind of scary the few times Max went out on a leash here.
Now we hop in the truck and head to the water. One of Max's (and our) favorite activities is going to the beach to romp around.
